    Coaching and Counseling

If you've ever had a good coaching or mentoring experience, then you already know the profound difference it makes. In sports, in career building, in business, and even in our personal life and our relationship life, coaching and mentoring is often the secret ingredient that turns seeming disappointment into stunning success.

Ideally, a coach is someone who can grasp what it is you're trying to accomplish and systematically provide you with the insights, resources, encouragement and guidance to help you achieve your goals.

A professional coach isn't a therapist: coaching is about where you want to go, not where you've been. And a coach isn't a well-intentioned person who merely "believes in you." A coach must be a skilled advisor, insightful and perceptive, hopefully someone with decades of experience working with people, someone who knows firsthand what it takes to succeed in every area of life, and who knows how to communicate ideas in a way that makes them easy to learn.

In any area of life we focus on: business, career, health, marriage, relationships, family -- success is based on understanding, insight, and of course, the right action. Many successful people, in the arts, in sports, in business, will tell you: it was an experienced mentor that made the difference. This is why life coaching has become so popular over the last two decades. There are life coaches, executive coaches, dating and relationship coaches and marriage and family coaches, and millions have benefited from working with them.

Your life matters. Your dreams matter. Not just to you, but to me, and to everyone around you. When you succeed in any area of life, we all stand to benefit. No one should have to do it the hard way. No one should have to go it alone.

I originally started this blog as a way to share ideas with my clients, both past and present, but also to share these ideas with anyone who was interested. Granted, these articles only provide glimpses of the work I do in my office and in my phone consultations, but hopefully it can give you at least a sense of the way I work with people.

Please feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions or questions, or to find out how we can work together.
